In dictionare, locutiunea franceza ne duce cu gandul la specificul bucatariei grecesti – “in the Greek manner; cooked in wine, olive oil, lemon juice, herbs, and spices, and usually served cold”, dar cum zilele acestea vor fi pline de comentarii la adresa gestului Primului Ministru Georgios Papandreu – mi-am spus ca trebuie sa verificam un pic despre cine e vorba si mai ales, ce limba se vorbeste cu adevarat in propozitie?
Propunerea de salvare a Greciei a fost facuta pe cat de serios, pe atat de neclar – intr-o limba “europeana” 🙂 cu puternic accent franco-german, fara a tine seama de situatia si posibilitatile reale de intelegere ale uneia dintre cele mai vechi natiuni ale planetei. Fratioare, cand spui “Grecia” – te cutremuri cu respect pentru cate au dat istoriei gandului, nu ii umilesti ca nu le-ar placea sa munceasca, ca stau cu mana intinsa la ajutoare! Care ajutoare sunt de fapt acordate cu mana larga pentru plata cu prioritate a … dobanzilor restante?!
Grecul s-a lasat o vreme luat la misto, insa acum a transmis tuturor o lectie despre cum se face politica: REFERENDUM e un cuvant tare, pe muche de cutit. Dar cutitul trebuia scos, macar pe jumatate (!) din teaca – iar liderii europeni ne-au aratat ca nu si-au facut deloc temele cu privire la personaj, care vorbeste mai degraba… limba “americana” :-)!
Cititi scurta biografie a Presedintelui Internationalei Socialiste, pentru a constata cu uimire si respect ca este cel de-al treilea Prim Ministru din Familia Sa, in ordine directa … Cu un asemenea politician, nu te poti juca de-a salvatul, pentru ca nu se va lasa inecat prea usor!
Grecia are de-acum spatiu de manevra si de negociere. Felicitari! Acum e clar pentru toata lumea ca limba europeana nu se vorbeste corect decat cu accent … american, nu? 🙂

His family comes from a long standing political dynasty. He previously served as Minister for National Education and Religious Affairs (1988–1989 and 1994–1996) and was Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1999 to 2004. Following his grandfather George Papandreou, Sr. and his father Andreas Papandreou, he is the third member of the Papandreou family to serve as the country’s prime minister. Papandreou has been leader of the Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) party since February 2004. In 2006 he became President of the Socialist International. George Papandreou became the 182nd Prime Minister of Greece on 6 October 2009.
He was born George Papandreou in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, where his father, Andreas Papandreou, held a university post. His mother is American-born Margaret Papandreou, née Chant. He was educated at schools in Toronto (King City Secondary School), at Amherst College inMassachusetts, Stockholm University, the London School of Economics and Harvard University. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology from Amherst and a Μaster’s degree in sociology from the LSE. He was a researcher in immigration issues at Stockholm University in 1972–73. He was also a Fellow of the Foreign Relations Center of Harvard University in 1992–93.
In 2002 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Laws by Amherst College and in 2006 he was named Distinguished Professor in the Center for Hellenic Studies by Georgia State College of Arts and Science.
Papandreou’s father studied and worked as professor of Economics from 1939 to 1959. His paternal grandfather, the elder George Papandreou, was three times Prime Minister of Greece.
